Perhaps home is not a place but simply an irrevocable condition. ― James Baldwin
Welcome to Day 9!
Today our prompt is... Home
I believe that our homes should be our sanctuaries from the outside world. And I know firsthand how rare that is to find in real life. But I still cling to that belief.
Home for me is both a place and my family.
Now that we own our home - it is ours and it truly suits us - home feels like a building. Like a beautiful old brick house on the side of a hill full of our treasures, our messes and, most important of all, full of our love.
Home is also my family - my husband, my grumpy old lady cat and my beloved service dog. If we were to lose this building that houses us I would still always have a home as long as we are together.
Home is the nicest word there is.
Laura Ingalls Wilder
